It works great! But u need to purchase this with fans and sticker glue to make it work out because the old CPU has been heated and dry-glued to the existing fan. It's hard to seperate them out. I replaced this with the old 1GHz CPU in my Inspiron 531 and it began to be able to watch all of the HD video stream without stopped frames!

For me this was an upgrade from an Athlon 64 X2 3800 (2GHz), I was hoping for a bigger boost in performance, it did improve, I was just hoping for more. The one I got was the 125w thermal output unit, not the 89w unit I was looking for, but the description didn't specify. I'd have gone for the 6400 model if I could have found one, given it has the same thermal output and a slightly faster clock.
It installed and worked normally once I got a better heat sink into the computer to deal with the extra heat. With the upgraded heat sink the unit runs only a few degrees warmer than the original CPU did. It did require a BIOS update for my Dell E521 to work properly with this CPU.
In the end, it's a processor, not all that much to say about it. If you want a reasonable cost upgrade from an older processor. The research I had to do to find a suitable heat sink was the real work and effort.

Got it faster than expected, product was in great condition, however seller said it was used from his computer he was upgradeing and did not mention that fan and cooler were included and I needlessly perchased a 2nd cpu fan and cooler.
